SONOSCAN Probes for Non-Destructive Testing of welds |

The new angle beam probes for non-destructive material testing of the probe
series SONOSCAN check metals for cracks an inclusions.
They are mainly used for weld inspection. The ultrasonic probes detect
critical defects i.e. discontinuities and quality deficiencies of welds. The
SONOSCAN probes are effective ultrasonic converters, which were adapted to
the commom mobile ultrasonic testing equipment.
Inside the angle beam probes there is a transducer, which is able to emit ultrasonic
transverse waves in a specific angle to the workpart via a forward wedge. the
angle beam probes guanrantee an optimized usage owing to variable types of
construction and sizes.
It is possible to adapt to curved surfaces i.e. adaptation to different
pipe forms through seat grinding of the probes. Thus the DIN EN 1714 standard
regarding non-destrutive testing of welds can be well achieved. The unique
and beneficial ergonomic shape of the angle beam probes enables a comfortable
and a handy usage.
